ALCP welcomed at Ratana celebrations

An official Aotearoa Legalise Cannabis Party delegation attended the Ratana celebrations for the first time in January 2013. Cannabis reform was described as "sustainable development" by Ratana spokesman Ruia Aperahama.

ALCP Otaki Candidate Fred MacDonald, ALCP President Paul McMullan, ALCP Leader Michael Appleby and NORML President Julian Crawford (pictured) attended Ratana and meet with Maori leaders as well as MPs from other parties.

Winston Peters confirmed his support for a referendum on the cannabis laws. John Key and Chris Finlayson told ALCP they had not read the Law Commission's review of the Misuse of Drugs Act.

Ratana was attended by National, Labour, ALCP, NZ First, Greens, Mana and the Maori party.
